An essential componant of the traditional breakfast. The tomatoes are fried in 1/2 tomato sizes. As tomatoes are mostly water this piece will be the hottest part of the meal and hence should be intially treated with caution.

The more it is fried the less of it there will be on the plate. I like mine fried to tenderness but no to mush and a little better then just plain warmed up.

The sweet flavour of the tomato counterpoints well the saltiness of some of the other componants of the breakfast such as the bacon or the sausages.
