A fjord (also spelled fiord) is a long inlet in the mountainous coastlines of Scandinavia. They can be extremely deep, bordered on both sides by very steep slopes. Beautiful landscapes, Challenging hikes and very large numbers of trees are how I remember the fjords of Norway.
