Vairë the Weaver is (yet another) of the Valar who are stewards over middle-earth, as described by Tolkien in The Silmarillion and other compilations of his notes about the mythology behind his famous series, The Lord of the Rings.

She weaves the stories and events that happen in middle earth onto her vast loom, creating tapestries documenting the history of the world. These tapestries hang in the Halls of Mandos, which are continually being expanded in order to contain them.

That would be interesting, I think, to find in the afterlife a big colorful tapestry documenting your life and deeds, instead of just your name written in some boring old book of St. Peter’s.
