British New Wave band
formed in London
In itself, the Hitmen wasn't the most interesting of the New Wave bands of the early 80s and their two LPs ("Aim for the Feet
" and "Torn Together
") got a luke-warm reception at best.
More interesting are the careers of a few of the band members after the Hitmen disbanded some time in 1982. Ben Watkins went on to form The Flowerpot Men and later Juno Reactor; Pete Gleinster was later found in Terence Trent D'Arby's band and Alan Wilder ended up in Depeche Mode and eventually Recoil.
