Time Division Multiplexing, a type of multiplexing that combines data streams by assigning each stream a different time slot in a set. TDM repeatedly transmits a fixed sequence of time slots over a single transmission channel. For more information, see Time Division Multiplexing and TDMA nodes.
In business German, TDM is a popular abbreviation for "tausend Deutsche Mark", i.e. 1000 DM. With the introduction of the Euro, this has/will become kind of obsolete.
