I was
ten when when I first learned
English. And at that time I heard the
lyrics to
The Supremes' song, "
Stop In the name of love". But what I actually thought I heard was:
Stop in the neighbour's lawn.
I was one confused kid for a while there.
Interestingly, a search on google revealed that I was not the only one who was confused with this very same line. At least I have the excuse of being in ESL classes at the time
