"Shanti Sadan" is a Sanskrit phrase meaning "Temple of Inner Peace".

The tradition of Shanti Sadan is that of the Yoga of Adhyatma (self-awareness) Yoga. The Upanishads and the Bhagavad Gita inspire this thought. This Yoga combines the Yogas of Action, Meditation, Devotion and Knowledge, and represents the essence of the philosophy of Advaita Vedanta (a school of vedanta based upon the Upanishads).

The teaching is universal and is free from political or nationalistic prejudice. It's supposed to encourage a love of wisdom and true spirituality, whatever its source.
