A help desk acronym - it stands for Problem Exists Between Chair And Keyboard. It is used to covertly indicate that software and hardware are functioning within normal parameters and that the user is the source of the error.

There are actually different versions. The variations are in two places. The first one being:

  • PIB Problem Is Between
  • PEB Problem Exists Between
The second one being:
  • CAT Chair And Terminal
  • CAK Chair And Keyboard
  • KAC Keyboard And Chair

Of which my favorite combination is PEBCAT.
