From the Tokyo's Best Stuff series.

This Tokyo suburb is, I'm reliably informed, means "Black Eye".

Tokyo's best tonkatsu
Tonki is a Tokyo classic, and is widely considered to serve Japan's best Tonkatsu (breaded deep-fried pork cutlets). The owners have several outlets in Tokyo now, but this branch is their original tonkatsu-ya. Ask at the koban (police box) near the station for directions -- the officers will be delighted to oblige.

Shizenkyoikuen
(National Institute for Nature Study) is a large, untouched virgin forest. In the heart of the metropolis. Believe it. Greak walking (paths only please) when you need to escape the madness of Tokyo. Tues-Sun 900-1600 ¥200. Walk off your tonkatsu lunch!
