Part of the
University of New Hampshire system, located in the western part of the
state in
picturesque Keene, part of
Chesire county.

liberal arts school, formerly the Keene Teaching School until 1963, still produces a number of students with teaching degrees and is known to be a "teaching school".
The college is
NCAA division III in sports. The mascot is an
owl. There is no football team, but there are
cheerleaders

diving/swimming are popular athletic activities.
Popular hangouts for students of age (or those with
fake ID's) are Penuche's, Kilkenny's and Margarita's. Others may hangout at
fraternity parties, which occur nearly every night of the week.
Only about 35% of students
graduate in 4 years.
