KWGN Channel 2 is physically located in the Denver Tech Center, which is listed as Englewood, Colorado even though it was in unincorporated Arapahoe County. (I think it is in new city of Centennial now.) It was Denver's first TV station way back in the 1950's and until the 1990's was unaffiliated with any network. Many people think those were better days in many ways. They showed interesting old programs like Star Trek and The Addams Family. Also they had this locally produced program called Blinky's Fun Club, a real throwback to the first days of television.
Though I suppose it would have had to change with the coming of cable. Now many of the older programs are finding new life on the cable networks and are probably not as cheep for the little stations to get. Plus Blinky finally had to retire after something like 30 years on the air. And it is not all bad, now with the WB they have Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
