Julie Bell is an
American fantasy artist, born in
Beaumont,
Texas, in
1958. She began studying with
Boris Vallejo in
1990, her oil paintings making her famous. Her art has appeared in "
Heavy Metal", and on books, posters, video game logos, etc. Easily 90% of her work is of the "
scantily-clad woman" variety, and she has a certain fondness for
chrome beasts, which has essentially become her
trademark.
She used to be a competitive body-builder, in which she made it to the nationals. She now has two sons, David and Tony.
