He had created a life for himself
Unencumbered, stable and his own. But,
Every so often the wind would blow her this way.

In tender moments she’d fold into him, embrace him,
And stay a fleeting while
-- Threatening to pull him into her great expanse.

She sank beneath his surface, he knew
But even then it was all he could do
As she sashayed away from him once more.
