Genghis is the name of an autonomous robot built at MIT in 1989. A shoebox-sized six-legged walking robot, Genghis served as predecessor to the more advanced Attila and Hannibal robots. Each of Genghis's legs is constructed of two model airplane servo motors. It's currently on display at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum.
