Danablu ("Danish Blue") is a very famous Danish bleu cheese, created in the early years of the twentieth century by Marius Boel.

The cheese, made of cow's milk, has a sharp salty metallic taste, and has a soft creamy mouthfeel. The rind is blue-black and is gritty and usually discarded.

The fat content of Danablue is 60%. It is often used in salads in its native Denmark.
