Recipe for Butterscotch Cream Pie (related to Butterscotch Pie):
Cook butter and brown sugar in a saucepan over direct heat for 3 or 4 minutes, stirring constantly. Add hot milk and simmer until sugar is dissolved. Mix together flour, salt and colr milk and add gradually to the hot mixture. Cook for 15 minutes, stirring constantly. Beat eggs only enough to blend whites and yolks and pour the hot mixture over them. Stir briskly, then cook for 2 or 3 minutes longer over low heat. When it is thickened, pour into baked pie shell and cool.
