An adjective meaning:
  1. The opposite of tight: "This bolt is loose."
  2. Unrestrained: "The cows are loose in the pasture."

Although you have probably been told countless times to be careful not to "loose" your keys, "loose" has absolutely nothing to do with the verb "to lose".
