What is often confused for Mexican food in any other place but Texas. Fajitas are Tex Mex. Burritos are Tex Mex. Tacos are as Mexican as pizza is Italian.

A Texas version of Mexican food. Tex Mex (done well) is usually much more spicy and flavorful than real Mexican food, which is usually quite bland.

General rule of thumb, anything that comes in, or served with chili, is Tex Mex
