How can there be so many different flavors of love? The passionate and abiding love I feel for my significant other is the strongest, and I always figured that kind of right now love of the romance in which one is immersed was all one could feel at a time. But I've found that it can't overwhelm the others. That faint, soft taste of what could have been--the boy I could have fallen in love with and who I didn't know I did love on some level, who might even have been in love with me once. The burnt sugar-sweet embers of the one who broke my heart twice; it wasn't meant to be but sometimes he still warms my heart so much that it confuses me a little.

I know there are more, but love is so intense, I think I'll go catch snowflakes on my tongue for a little while instead.
