  1. Applied to any given domain, it indicates that there is (almost) no foo-etic differentition between members of the population. Almost universally agreed to be a bad idea because of susceptibility to virii and parasites, such as fads. Corporations love it. Go figure.
  2. The (sometimes unintentional) reduction of diversity in the name of productivity or control.
  3. inbreeding of possibility space, producing inbred ideas

The monoculture can be hacked. This is why medium-smart people are against world government. Zenarchists and reality hackers can probably see how this is potentially amusing.

Wildfire can utterly demolish a tree farm, but a wild forest is actually helped by it.
