This
snobbery may actually be justified by those, known as
baby-boomers, so large in number, whose listening to
rock and roll, its predecessors, and successors, created a whole mass industry of
concerts,
radio stations,
record companies, and
music publishers, a
legacy still felt today.
This is not so much an artistic observation, as an economic one. But there would not be a music industry anything like the one we have without baby-boomers.
