A company who developed their own multimedia/video game technology that could be licensed to companies to make their own 3DO boxes (there were two made by Panasonic, and one each by Sanyo and Goldstar). The original Panasonic 3DO R.E.A.L. system sold for a MSRP of $699.95. Certainly not a a price for the average video gamer (but hey, it could read Photo CDs! That's cool...right? Right?). The 3DO brought in only a handful of worthy games, but were either ported to the Sony PlayStation or Sega Saturn or completely forgotten. 3DO the company still lives today, creating games for the PlayStation, Nintendo 64 and whatever else.
