The Lambretta brand of motor scooters are very similar to the Vespa Brand. Vespa is manufactured by Piaggio, where Innocenti makes Lambretta.

The Lambretta is named after the Lambrate area of Milan, Italy. Manufactured from 1947 to 1972, the scooter was in the entertainment spotlight with the likes of James Cagney, Rock Hudson, Shirley Jones, as well as Laurel and Hardy.

In apperarance, Lambrettas look strikingly similar to Vespas, but tend to be slightly longer and more sensuous looking, with a more "sporty" look.
