The Oil Thigh is a
traditional song and dance performed at
Queen's University by students as a means of promoting
spirit, usually at
sporting events. The full text of the song is given below (though most students only know the
chorus):
Queen's College colours we are wearing once again,
Soiled as they are by the battle and the rain,
Yet another victory to wipe away the stain!

The Gaelic chorus is sung to the tune of the "Battle Hymn of the Republic", and the line "Oil thigh na Banrighinn a'Banrighinn gu brath" translates to "The College of the Queen forever".
