womaniser, and the request is made in the morning.
"
Pint of
stout with an
egg in it."
My
English teacher suggested that the egg is used here as a symbol of
virility.
Pourtant, the same person asks for a "pint of stout... no egg" towards the end of the play. I recall he had reason not to feel particularly virile at that point in the plotline.
