The Flash Girls are a folk music duo from Minnesota, consisting of Emma Bull (guitar, vocals) and the Fabulous Lorraine (violin, vocals).
Don't be mislead by any prejudices about the 'folk' label; their songs are inventive, witty and moving. Some are written by cult novelist Neil Gaiman, others are more traditional. One features poetry by Dorothy Parker.
The Flash Girls have released three albums although the first is out of print. The world waits in anticipation of the re-recorded version, The Return of the Return of Pansy Smith and Violet Jones
