A car boot sale is where many people fill their
cars with
junk, drive them to a
carpark, and sell the junk for very little
money.
Famed for being an event where you can pick up
rare, lost
antiques or just some
old tat, they're worth a visit if you're a
bargain hunter.
My
dad has a habit (much to my
mother's disgust) of buying old
radios at car boot sales. We have no idea why.
