Pioneer BBC children's television programme, created and written by Gordon Murray and originally broadcast between 1966-69: repeated frequently after that in the Watch with Mother series, which ran until 1980. It depicts a safe, cosy little world where nothing of any event really happens.

Camberwick Green started with a musical box: the lid span round and slowly opened to reveal whichever character the episode was about. The most famous character was Windy Miller, a funny-looking geezer with a big hat. Others were the widow Mrs Honeyman and her baby, Dr Mopp, and Peter the Postman.

The series was followed up by Trumpton, which shifted the action to the local county town, and Chigley, set in a rural industrial area. They were narrated by the marvellously-named Brian Cant.
