A product designed by
MagicBox, Inc. for digital signage. Basically, all it is is a PC running
BeOs continuously running a slide show that you design on your
Windows-based PC. The slide show is made using
proprietary software and can't be converted from common presentation software such as
Power Point. The show is then published to the box over modem, serial cable, network, or removable media.
It comes in a 2U case with a hard drive, CD-ROM and zip drives. It outputs video to VGA,
S-Video, RCA, and Composite. The Aavelin has the ability to control VCR's and DVD players. Unfortunately, the bugs have not yet been worked out of the controlling program.
