A very kEwL terminal emulator for X Windowing System. It is color terminal emulator, fully VT102 compatible.
Eterm is very configurable - "freedom of choice", as the marketing goes - and it looks very cool with the default settings. It supports background images, scrollbars, changing font on fly, menus, transparency and all sorts of other things. Yet, it's just as fast as your average xterm (also when you set it to look like xterm =)
It works on all major *NIXes, and with any desktop environment (if any) and window manager, although it has some special integration with Enlightenment.
Eterm was principally designed by Michael Jennings and helped by various people (the Enlightenment project folks in particular - hence the name).
