Toronto, the by-law goes like this:
On a bicycle, wheels larger than 24 inches in diameter are not allowed to be on the sidewalk. In effect, that means adult bicycles belong on the road and kid's bicycle are allowed on the sidewalk.
But in Toronto, I see so many bonehead cyclists riding their mountain bikes or beater bikes on the sidewalk. This activity is happening downtown!
Unfortunately, not a lot of cyclists out there are educated about the laws of the road as it pertains to bicycles. Perhaps those who aren't should check out your local bicycle advocacy group. They advocate cyclists to become smarter.
