This
washing powder was also pushed, in the
late 80's, for its ability to remove not only
stains, but also
odours. Never claimed to get anyone's whites
whiter than white.
This mighty task was reserved, in the British Isles, for Daz, one of the stronger proponents of fluorescent powder which caused washed clothes to glow under ultra-violet radiation, and hence also in sunlight, making them appear not only to be white, but also to glow with an inner radiance.
Competitors included and still do: Ariel, Bold, Surf and Persil.
