A play in football that involves a long pass (>40 yards in the air) to a sprinting receiver. Best used when the defense has been sucked up too close to the line of scrimmage by repeated run plays and the secondary is not playing the receivers tightly enough. A fast receiver can, if he sprints at the right time, get behind all coverage and be wide open for this play.

Requires superb timing, accuracy, and a rocket arm on the part of the quarterback to have any chance to work.
