Around the early 90's,
Sierra On-Line had a
brilliant idea. "Let's remake all the
classics from our
glory days," I can just imagine
Ken Williams saying at a board meeting. By some
freak chance of luck, someone let him get away with it.
The result was several VGA remakes of Sierra's early Quest games, using Sierra's new and improved SCI authoring language.
These games were, to the best of my recollection: King's Quest I - Quest for the Crown, Space Quest I - The Sarien Encounter, Leisure Suit Larry I - In the Land of the Lounge Lizards, Quest for Glory I - So You Want To Be A Hero, and Police Quest I - In Pursuit of the Death Angel.
None of them sold very well, but it's still interesting to play these games. Sort of like watching a colorized Laurel and Hardy movie.
