Witness acts of derring-do such as failing to pay tax on a pair of thermal underwear! Get really good at Astro Chicken! Groove to the tunes of The Blues Brothers in the cantina!

Space Quest was one of the pioneering game series back in Sierra On-Line's golden days, along with King's Quest, Police Quest and Leisure Suit Larry.

To this date, the Space Quest series is no longer being made, and all responsible for the series have either been laid off or left in protest. (It sounds like a joke, but it's not.)

Here's a quick overview of the seven (yes, seven) different Space Quest games:

Space Quest I - The Sarien Encounter - 1986 - designed by Scott Murphy & Mark Crowe

Space Quest II - Vohaul's Revenge - 1987 - designed by Scott Murphy & Mark Crowe

Space Quest III - The Pirates of Pestulon - 1989 - designed by Scott Murphy & Mark Crowe

Space Quest IV - Roger Wilco and the Time Rippers - 1991 - designed by Scott Murphy & Mark Crowe

Space Quest I - The Sarien Encounter - 1991 VGA remake - designed by Scott Murphy & Mark Crowe

Space Quest V - The Next Mutation - 1993 - designed by Mark Crowe & Dave Selle

Space Quest VI - The Spinal Frontier - 1995 - designed by Josh Mandel & Scott Murphy

You can read a lot more about the different Space Quest games in the SQ FAQ. I hesitate to copy and paste from it, since I'm not sure whether the fact that I wrote it counts as a legit write-up or not. Instead, I provide you with a link: http://wiw.org/~jess/sqfaq.txt
