1. A tumor that is made up of fatty foam cells.
  2. A benign yellow lesion under the skin which is caused by abnormal lipid deposits. Xanthomas are usually associated with conditions such as hyperlipidemia, diabetes, and liver problems.

A skin disease marked by the development or irregular yellowish patches upon the skin, especially upon the eyelids; -- called also xanthelasma.
