UHU is a brand of
glues produced in
Germany. According to their website (www.uhu.de), the South German
chemist August Fischer invented the first
synthetic resin adhesive in the world, in 1932. It doesn't say if this
dude went on start the UHU brand and company but that's probably what happened.
The UHU products that I'm most familiar with are the UHU glue stick, and the standard glue that comes in a tube. The latter looks like a clear jell and is a pretty decent adhesive. I used to eat that stuff when I was a kid. Don't ask me why.
