Swamp buggy races are a popular activity in Florida, featuring several classes of specialized motor vehicles, often modified jeeps or dune buggies. They were popular on TNN before it morphed into Spike TV.
Swamp buggy racing takes place (usually in pairs) on a swampy, twisting track. Races are held four times a year at the Florida Sports Park in Naples, Florida with some of the money raised going to local charities. The event also features the Swamp Buggy Queen Pageant. Signature swmp buggy racing phrase: "Looks like Cooter's bogged down in the 'sippi hole!"
