Nick name for a transmission made in the early seventies used in high performance General Motors cars.

The Muncie M22 as it was really called, was a very tough, close ratio, four speed, manual transmission. It had straight cut gears that gave it a whining sound.

The gear ratios were: 2.20 / 1.64 / 1.28 / 1.00 / 2.27
