Unwilling to stand up to others in the name of an idea or principle, or to register any criticism, however constructive, that might (on the one hand) hurt or belittle the recipient but (on the other hand) offer them some means for correcting their mistake. Leads to a cycle of increasing tension and buried hostility that may not on the surface.
