You're driving home, it's late, the roads are empty. Suddenly you find yourself behind a mysterious navy blue Ford Focus going exactly the same speed. You follow it through the night, going perhaps ten miles per hour over the speed limit at the least, down an abandoned street beneath the light of a half moon. Ghosting through the shadows, you race past quiet houses and empty sidewalks. The blue car turns its brights on, everything is visible. The once long drive home has gone by in the blink of an eye, thanks to your new friend. You begin to slow down as you approch your turn, and feel a sharp jolt of pain when you realize the other car is not turning as well. Saddened, you make your solitary way home, wishing for the comfort and company of that forever lost late-night caravan.
