Originated in the previously portugese province of Goa, India. In the 80s members of the psychedelic movement found this isolated beach community an ideal place to further develop their lifestyle. The music, Goa-Trance, often features a steady pulsating techno beat wrapped in multiple layers of electronic sounds. Examples: Astral Projection, The Infinity Project.
