the first thing you see
an opiate in your eyes
you slept as we (shadows)
dusted our fingers
i climbed out of white and glow
the droplets falling on my face
crystalized now - alive on my lips
with no where to go
two children sitting at a bus stop
on the sidewalk, on each others' laps

hands to each others' faces, fingers in each others' mouths

suckling frantic

gaining a deeper knowledge of their insides

deeming it good, wholesome, nourishing
hungry beyond words, not having been satiated for sixteen long years
but settling for only a taste.

"Life is a feast
and most poor suckers are starving to death!"

eat it up !
