It consists of an overpowering sense of restlessness; or more specifically, there are present, irritability, dissatisfaction, a sense of fullness in the extremities, thirst, dryness of skin, wakefulness during the greater part of the night, the patient perpetually altering his position in the vain endeavor to obtain relief. About two or three in the morning perspiration generally comes, followed by heavy slumber.
