- Exemia (also spelled exaemia)
- Medical condition where a significant portion of the blood is removed from main circulation but remains within blood vessels in certain areas, causing it to become stagnant. This condition often occurs in shock, where blood flow is disrupted and pooled in specific regions of the body. As there is no blood flow, there is also no oxygen on the way to the brain or other important or vital organs.
