A book distributed in an electronic format such as a text file (the normally expected format), pdf, html, or Palm Doc. Ligitimate etexts, are electronic versions of books sold by publishers, distributed by the author who has retained the electronic distribution rights (eg, The Hacker Crackdown by Bruce Sterling), or made available in electronic libraries such as Project Gutenberg. Illigitimate etexts take the form of OCR'd novels, distributed on FTP, Hotline and web pages. Etexts are great things if you have a palmtop. I've heard of many people using Palms for reading etexts, and the 200LX has a program (Vertical Reader) written for this purpose.

There's some etexts on E2. Soft link 'em bellow I suppose.
