A dryer-drive is the term used to refer to a
faster-than-light propulsion drive powered by the nearly
infinite improbability that a clothes dryer has the ability to create
transdimensional folds within itself which it uses to steal random socks from its
contained cargo load and nearly
instantaneously transports them to the empire of an
alien race with perpetually cold
appendages and a shortage of
soft warm material from which to fashion their own socks.
I use the phrase nearly infinite improbability because almost anything is possible, this just seems very, very, very unlikely.
