An antibiotic (a form of adriamycin) manufactured by Pharmacia which has been used to treat certain types of cancer (such as breast carcinomas) as an injection. It is also a cardiotoxin and can cause heart failure at high cumulative dosages (above a total dose of 300 mg/m2).
