al-Barran is a
barony in the
Kingdom of the
Outlands, in the
SCA. In the
modern world, it's located in
Albuquerque,
NM.
The name "al-Barran" strikes fear into fighters across the Known World, because it is the most kick-ass fighting barony around. Weekly fighter practice is held at Jeanne Bellemah Park, in the NE Heights.
Within the Barony of al-Barran is the College of Blaiddwyn, a group at the University of New Mexico.
