Accio (pronounced AK-ee-yo) is a magic incantation of the charm class that is used to summon an object at a distance from the magic user that is not specifically protected. This spell is also known as the Summoning Charm.

This spell first appears in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and is taught to Harry Potter by Hermione Granger to summon Harry's Firebolt broomstick during the Triwizard Tournament. It also appears in the book The Tales of Beedle the Bard in The Wizard and the Hopping Pot.

The object being summoned must be clear in the mind of the spellcaster. The spell is taught to fourth year students at Hogwarts and appears in the Standard Book of Spells, Grade 4, by Miranda Goshawk, although an advanced version of Accio is taught to students during the fifth year at school and appears on the O.W.L. tests.
